He played a lot of British bands that I would not have heard otherwise like The Guillemots, Editors, The Noisettes, and Supergrass. He played the song "Medicine" by the Scottish band Sons and Daughters and I had to hear more but, at that time, there wasn't much about them online but their album "The Repulsion Box" was on the American Amazon so I went there that night and bought it. Amazon had that feature: 'if you like that, then you'll like this...' which lead to The Dead 60s. At that time ska was dead and I was blown away to hear a new band playing music like that. Riot on the Radio was like nothing I ever heard before. I annoyingly played their first album over and over to anyone who would listen. I really think they came out at just the wrong time.
